Hip Global

Last night I set up an account at BlogPatrol.com, a website that specializes in tracking web traffic to your site. I did this to see if updating this website is even worth my time. The results were shocking...

The service presents hits for the day, total hits and projected hits for the near future.

These figures were about 15 more than I was expecting. Aw well. That's cool.

BlogPatrol also tells you other demographic detail such as what operating systems your visitors are using, what browser they use and what their screen resolution is.

Sweet. But here's what confused me. According to this figure 13 of my 15 visitors all came to my site via Google search.

To be more specific (according to another unpictured figure), their search led them to my horribly written and hilariously biased review of No More Heroes. I've since tried Google searching for the page without using the words Hip and Gnosis but to no avail.

Now if the previous point confused me, this one surprised me. BlogPatrol also tracks the global location of visitors.

Yeah. That's six visitors from Europe who all searched for my review. I'm not quite sure why. But I do know one thing...

I'VE GONE INTERNATIONAL!

More updates as they come.

Edit: Upon publishing this I checked the stats again and I now have a hit from India.

2 person(s) actually read this!:
